Steps to Start of School
1. PAY $200 CONFIRMATION DEPOSIT

2. SET UP BRIERCREST ACCOUNTS
Briercrest Live, myBriercrest, and Canvas will give you access to all the Briercrest information you need

3. REGISTER FOR CLASSES IN BRIERCREST LIVE
When you register, complete the Consent for Release of Information sections (Finance and Media).
You are the only one who can receive specific information about your finances at Briercrest unless you grant permission.
E.g., Mom can’t be told how much you owe when she calls to pay your bill unless you’ve specifically identified her.
5. SUBMIT RESIDENCE APPLICATION FORM
If you plan to be a dorm student, complete this residence application form.
6. SUBMIT TRANSCRIPTS
2017 High School grads: After July 1, OFFICIAL HARD COPIES must be submitted to Admissions.
Pre-2017 grads: All official hard copy transcripts (high school and post-secondary) must be submitted.

7. SELECT YOUR MEAL PLAN IN BRIERCREST LIVE
Meal plans can be changed in person at the dining hall or the Cash Counter until the course add/drop deadline: September 14
If you have dietary restrictions, please contact your Admissions Adviser.
8. SUBMIT YOUR ID PHOTO
Please submit in Briercrest Live ASAP! No later than 7 a.m. on Friday, September 1.
Pick up your ID at Check-in on September 5.
Your ID card is required to access the dining hall and to check out library books.
Replacement cards can be requested for a fee in Briercrest Live.
10. PREPARE RESOURCES
June and July - Check course book lists and buy your textbooks from the Briercrest Bookstore online or in person.
July and August - If you're requesting accommodations, send your formal documentation to your Admissions Adviser (firstname.lastname@example.org) and connect with the Student Success Centre ASAP (email@example.com).
Late August - Download your course syllabi (course guides) in Briercrest Live for each class.
Early September onward - Your instructors want to help you succeed. Visit them during their office hours well before due dates.
11. PLAN YOUR SEMESTER
Stay on top of Key Dates and Deadlines - posted below, on bulletin boards around campus, and online.
TIP #1: Pay particular attention to the Add/Drop deadline. That’s the last day you can add courses and the last day you can drop them without penalty (academic and financial). It's also the last day you can change your meal plan.
TIP #2: Write all your due dates on a calendar.
TIP #3: Do not schedule travel before your final exams are complete. Exams will not be moved to accommodate your travel plans.
Tuesday, September 5
8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
ATHLETES: Follow instructions from your coach. Some of you will arrive for training camp on August 26 and check in on September 5.
COME PREPARED WITH:
Driver’s license (if you have one) – you will be asked to voluntarily complete a Criminal Record Check in order to prepare for future service. If you’ve had one done in the last year, please bring a copy and submit it.
Bank account/Credit card information – if you or your parents want to set up a pre-authorized debit or credit agreement to pay your bills, be sure to have the information with you. You can find the pre-authorized debit agreement here.
Passport and Study Permit – U.S. and International students are required to provide these documents as proof of legally being able to study at Briercrest and to start the Saskatchewan health card application.
Once in Caronport, follow the Check-in signs to the Hildebrand Chapel
You can move into your dorm starting at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 5.
We can shuttle you from Regina International Airport.

Meal Plan Begins
Breakfast, Tuesday, September 5
To select your meal plan, go to Briercrest Live. If you change your mind, you will need to go to the Cash Counter or to the Dining Hall in person once you are on campus.

We really hope you can arrive on Tuesday, September 5 because we will be set up and ready to serve you in one location that day. However, we know that occasionally someone has to make alternate arrangements. If that is the case for you, contact your Admissions Adviser (firstname.lastname@example.org).

October 23-27: Modular week.
October 31: Student accounts must be paid in full.
November 10: Remembrance Day Stat (No classes).
December 1-3: Christmas Celebration. Friday classes continue.
December 7: Last Tuesday/Thursday class.
December 8: Last Friday class.
December 9: Christmas banquet.
December 11: Last Monday/Wednesday and Monday night class.
December 12: Study afternoon.
December 13 - 21: Final Exams. No exams will be rescheduled for personal reasons or travel plans.
December 22: Breakfast is the last meal on the meal plan for the semester.
January 7: All students arrive by 11:00 p.m.
January 8: Regular classes begin. First payment due.
January 21-23: Camp Days.
February 1: Certificate grad applications due for 2018 grad.
February 16-18: Youth Quake. Watch for opportunities to get involved.
February 19: Family Day (No classes).
February 21: Last day to drop a semester class and receive a “W.” See Winter - Add/Drop Policy.
Feb. 26-Mar. 2: Modular Week.
February 28: Student accounts must be paid in full.
March 6: Fall 2017 registration opens (Subject to change).
